The hospital itself was placed 4th in the Institutional Awards – Curative Care (Large Scale) and its director Dr. Jayan Mendis, the driving force behind the renaissance of the hospital, took away the Silver Award for Individual Awards – Administrators.
Angoda hospital has risen to its current position as a leading institute providing care and teaching, mainly because the entire staff is committed to the development of the hospital. The credit for this achievement is shared by all staff members ranging from the consultants to the labourers.
